Qatar’s National Museum appears in a desert that has ventured all the way to the sea. In this place, the Royal Palace of Sheikh Abdallah bin Jasim al Thani rises, which is a landmark with important heritage value in Qatar in the 20th century.
The National Museum is dedicated to the history of Qatar. Symbolically, its architecture evokes the desert, its silence and eternal dimension, but it also brings modern and bold spirit, shaking what seems unshakable. Therefore, what I want to arouse here is the contradiction in this period of history.
Qatar has also established coastal towns and scale points for nomads as well as fishermen and Pearl fishermen. Therefore, animals, plants, nomads and their long tradition are the main features of Qatar’s history.
