SCHLUMBERGER RENOVATION

1981 – 1984, PARIS, FRANCE

Schlumberger was the first of a series of projects focused on reclaiming industrial sites.
While there were extensive changes made inside the precinct of the site, the original exteriors were preserved to keep the historical identity of this area in the outskirts of Paris.
Old factories were demolished to make area for a garden, under which the new communal facilities were placed.
Natural vegetation permeates the project to blur the boundary between landscape and architecture.
