BANCA POPOLARE DI LODI
1991 – 2001, LODI, ITALY
Located on the site of a former factory, the headquarters for the Banca Popolare di Lodi is both a business centre and a place for social exchange.
The scheme consists of offices for the bank, some retail space, various amenities for local people and an auditorium.
The site, with its inner glass-covered piazza, is a public open space and provides new routes from the town centre through to the nearby railway station.
The terracotta cladding and the cylindrical structures evoke the silos typical of the region.
